ALIS is currently seeking an adult educator/trainer/facilitator, familiar with various models and principles for designing, developing, conducting, and assessing adult learning experiences. The right candidate will have platform and hands-on delivery experience, and will have participated in curriculum and courseware development in law enforcement intelligence subjects. Provide classroom instruction and deliver the content of the program to an audience of intelligence analysts. Prepare to provide tailored instruction and conduct training seminars and experiential learning sessions, conduct AARs, and provide reports for improvement. Develop testing and evaluation procedures to analyze needs to modify and improve existing programs. Serve as a trustworthy team member who will demonstrate loyalty and commitment to the success of corporate developed border and port security programs. Performs as a member of a high performance team of advisors responsible for coordinating daily interagency security operations throughout the U.S. border regions. Articulate, interactive individuals with a commitment to the education and training of adult professionals.

Qualified individual should have a bachelor's degree at a minimum (master's preferred), and at least 5 years of experience in instructional systems design and curriculum and courseware development.  Experience in the following:

  • Knowledge of the principles for design, development, conduct, and assessment of experimental learning opportunities.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Ability to work within a project team in a collaborative environment and independently in off-site instruction delivery.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Experience with criminal investigations is highly desirable; Strongly prefer Homeland security or law enforcement experience with an emphasis on intelligence analysis; Knowledge of Nation’s border issues highly desirable; Comfortable working within a project team in a collaborative environment; and experience in the meeting contract requirements within the government and private sectors helpful. Familiarization with the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) and its professional development program is a plus.

 

Travel may be required.
